We believe that our "Higher Power" is Jesus Christ. We practice the suggested recovery programs of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and other 12-step groups we believe they are the practical application of life changing principles clearly set forth in the scriptures. Our purposes are to praise the Lord, to study God’s word relating to the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and relevant subjects. We share with one another in strictest of confidence, and pray specifically for one another’s needs.

"Building Bridges" We use the program of Overcomers Outreach because it gives people in traditional 12-step groups a way back to the church of their choice. It also provides a vehicle for people in the church to find additional help in traditional 12-step groups.

Overcomers Outreach is...

• A bridge between 12-step groups and the church.
• A Christ -centered, non-profit corporation dedicated to reaching out to people with the problems of addiction or compulsion within churches of all denominations.
• A ministry providing Christian resources, education through workshops and written materials, and tools to initiate and maintain 12-step support groups.

Overcomers Outreach is not...

• A substitute for a church Bible Study or worship service.
• A therapy group - we encourage professional counseling when needed.
• A substitute for a 12-step group - we are a supplementary program to other 12-step programs, and recommend continued attendance.
